Differences Between Dry-type Transformers

Frequency converters: These adjust the power frequency to meet specific needs (50Hz, 60Hz, etc.) to satisfy our particular electricity requirements. Transformers: Generally called "voltage step-down transformers," they are commonly found near residential areas or factories. Their function is to reduce excessively high voltage to the normal voltage required for residential use, meeting people's daily electricity needs.

 

Dry-type transformers and oil-immersed transformers are the two most commonly used types of transformers. Compared to oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers have better fire resistance and are often used in locations with high fire safety requirements, such as hospitals, airports, and train stations. However, they are relatively more expensive and have certain environmental requirements, such as avoiding excessive humidity, dust, and dirt. Furthermore, dry-type transformers are less mature in operation than oil-immersed transformers.
